PA/2 Customization FAQ
Note: For the BBS.BMP, PCUSTTXT.TXT,
FILEDONE.WAV, BBS.WAV, BBS.MID, and MAIL.WAV files, these can
be automatically installed with your BBS or they can be downloaded
on the fly by users. If you are not including them with the install
package, then put the file(s) into your c:\powrbbs\pgpics directory.
What is the PCUSTTXT.TXT file and
how do I get it?
This file is available in the PA/2
informational file for download from http://www.powerbbs.net support BBS. It gives you the default PCUSTTXT.TXT file.
You can change anything you want inside of the quotes.
Will the archive fit on a floppy?
If the files you supply do not go
over about 30k zipped. If they do, the install program will not
fit on one floppy disk; instead it will require multiple disks.
Can the BBS.BMP be downloaded upon
connection to the BBS?
Yes, but the BBS.BMP will then only
be displayed when connecting to your BBS. It will then be displayed
to users once it has been downloaded and your BBS is selected.
What about the .RTF file?
This you need to include with the
install program, as it is an informational file users can read
before connecting. It is also accessable via the main PowerAccess
menu. It is not BBS specific, just custom version specific.

be any graphical format type. Such as MYBBS.JPG, just rename it

Have you included an informational file on your BBS, to be
shown to users on their first install. It is also available for
them via the main menu to access. Must be in RTF Format.
